Bill Rookes

Bill is a Director of Compre Broker Services Limited and member of the Compre Business Development Group.

He has worked in the insurance/reinsurance industry for over 40 years and has held a number of senior/executive positions both in the broking and run-off service provision sectors of the market. He was an Executive Director at Carter Wilkes & Fane subsequently Willis for 20 years and successfully set up and ran his own re-insurance consultancy firm, Accord Re, for 6 years.

Bill is a skilled negotiator and has a wealth of knowledge regarding reinsurance recovery and commutation strategies. He is a well known and respected figure in the London market and enjoys a distinguished reputation internationally. He travels extensively on business in Asia, the Middle East and South America. He passionately believes in the importance of “face to face” meetings and building strong long term relationships with clients based on trust and integrity.

Bill attends and has been a guest speaker at a number of industry events both here in the UK and overseas.

In his spare time Bill enjoys golf, fine dining, theatre and music.
