Kari Mäki

Kari is Group Commutations Director for Compre.  He is responsible for all Compre's claims and commutation activity acoss the Group on a day-to-day basis.

He is also Managing Director of Bothnia International Insurance Co Ltd, Compre's risk carrier domiciled in Finland and Director of Stockholm Reinsurance Co Ltd, located in Sweden.

Since 1981 Kari has been involved in international insurance and reinsurance business. For the past 17 years he has been working in the legacy run-off market, especially in the Nordic countries where he is amongst the pioneers of developing and implementing proactive run-off operations. He has actively worked with all aspects from strategy setting to carrying out large value complicated settlement and commutation negotiations.

During his career Kari has served as Director on more than ten Nordic, European and British insurance and service companies. He has Msc (Econ) degree and has passed many insurance examinations.
